I haven't been able to find any kind of news release from the team who will be handling the data centres yet, which is the missing amount.Yes I know. It seems there's one amount missing. I haven't been able to find it yet.

No data on the folks handling the data. Seems good.I haven't been able to find any kind of news release from the team who will be handling the data centres yet, which is the missing amount.
one of the medical students funded to be involved in the UK gut microbiota research spent three months working with Maureen Hanson at Cornell.
Was this the 'good news this week' that you were referring to in an earlier post, @Jonathan Edwards?
It's nice that data people can keep things confidentialNo data on the folks handling the data. Seems good.
I'm more for the Ron Davis "let them know everything, let's open source this thing" approachIt's nice that data people can keep things confidential
I was being fast and delicious (as I assumed you were), in that data people should, in most cases keep data confidential but not their own existence, as seems to currently be the case.I'm more for the Ron Davis "let them know everything, let's open source this thing" approach
As long as they don't sell us out to the elephants for petty cash, I'm sure the data will flow like a river of mental-fogged goldfishI was being fast and delicious (as I assumed you were), in that data people should, in most cases keep data confidential but not their own existence, as seems to currently be the case.
However, I seem to only have the memory capacity of 3 goldfish, 2 of which are feeling a bit ill, so my ability to know everything is a bit limited, I'll consider it (my need to know everything) again once I hit 0.12 elephants.
Oh God, cant wait!! Thanks JonathanNo, there is other good news coming. It's being a bit slow so don't ask.
Like IiME Research and OMF and others, she has a pressing personal interest in resolving this disease asap.Excellent. I like Hanson. Sensible woman from what I've seen thus far.
NIH News Release said:Cornell ME/CFS Collaborative Research Center
Principal Investigator: Maureen Ph.D., Cornell University, Ithaca, New York
It's not about the unfortunate demise of the hare is it?No, there is other good news coming. It's being a bit slow so don't ask.
Can the folk in the USA tell us whether there is any significance in the fact that all the winners are East Coast - 2 New York, 1 Connecticut, 1 North Carolina.
I wonder about this myself. Does this mean only the eastern side of the country will be studied? I'm on the west coast, so I certainly wouldn't be likely to see any of the specialists that will be getting funding.
There is a typo in the NIH news release.

Pretty sure that's supposed to be Maureen Hanson, not Maureen Ph.D.
I emailed the NIH a note about it. But those with a direct connection might get it fixed more quickly.
NIH said:Dr. ########,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have fixed the error.

Green Eagle DownerMan, I hate to be a downer, but I am mostly just bummed that Ron and his team didn't get one of the grants. I hope they can get money somewhere. I am sure he will have informal input in Hanson's work, but overall this is still a huge disappointment. I just don't know where he is going to get the money to move this thing forward.
