tans ther eis now a simple gentic blood test for coeliac - not the initial one that gives false neagtives - a GENE test
Yeah I know.. I had the GENE test for Celiac Disease already, years back done to hopefully rule out any involvement with that in my case, unfortunately thou I do carry the genotype who gets the celiac disease, I was postive (as I said its strongly in my family, we probably all carry the gene, three out of my fathers 4 brothers are severe celiacs from toddlers and my father has issues too which could indicate he's an undiagnosed celiac). So there is a 10% chance that I have Celiac disease which only could be ruled out by a bowel biopsy if I found a doc willing to do that
One gastro specialist told me he would if I had a negative gene test but then when it came back postive to the gene.. he changed his mind and didnt do the bowel biopsy and just went on my previous negative celiac disease results from the not so reliable test, a test which had been done when I was only eatting bread or cereals very rarely as they make me lethargic and I hadnt eatting anything like that 6 days before the test..so it would be even more unrealiable) .
