I've seen Dr Alan MacDonald's name come up a few times in Lyme discussions. He's published findings of Lyme in the amyloid plaques of Alzheimer's patients. In the following video he's presenting his findings of nematodes in the brain biopsies of MS and Louis Body Dementia patients. Furthermore he's detected borrelia by "DNA probe" inside the nematodes. I believe the probe he's using is a FISH test. He's also found images of the worms in spinal fluid, and apparently they can be seen with the naked eye.

The images are captured by darkfield microscopy. Interestingly, they look similar to what other somewhat rogue researchers have found and even posted on the forum here.

Dr Eva Sapi and crew have found filarial nematodes in 30% of adult ticks in the Connecticut area.
