Anyone else get that flank/low mid back pain I'm talking about? It responds like 100% to desmopressin so I think it is hydration related in me.

Or a probable UTI. A review of all the studies regarding cranberry and d-ribose said that both of these substances will cure a UTI. I use a cranberry pill (cranberry uice is full of sugar and you'd have to drink a lot to work). As heaps said, it could be a kidney stone. I don;t get those.
