Looking for a relatively safe laxative

Since having my Gallbladder removed 2 years ago, I have been ill off and on.

I wish I got a dollar every time I heard this said, it would fund my retirement. This issue gets widely discussed in the AGMD GI Motility Disorders group at www.inspire.com. There's no single cause for it or easy solutions but you might get some idea on areas to explore by searching some of the posts.

Just to add one more to the list: coconut water. Mild, natural laxative that also gives you electrolytes to boot!
