Some videos explaining benefits of fasting for the immune system and metabolism.

Videos are easier sources of information to take in and rewatch when fatigued and they give visual aid in the form of pictures, video and animations/simulations.

I put information in video format because it condenses the information into a more assimilatable form relative to the amount of information they can contain. Others can then go and search themselves for confirmation of the information provided.

I am not an academic in the classical sense but a self taught loner with major memory and brain dysfunction until recently almost from birth and certainly since I can remember. I found the most effective treatment (not cure) while trapped in this dysfunction, understanding it as I went in and out of worse then better then worse over and over again for almost 4 decades.

I only present what I know to you so you may benefit too.

I can not even get someone to have a back and forth honest conversation with me about what I believe I understand. So I am stepping back from ME/CFS as this has served its purpose as I am in control of it now. I will focus on the rebuilding of my life and share what I think may help you to see what I know if I come across anything.

If you do not want to see for yourself then fine, but I still wish you all to be better. Just please remember in the end when you finally see and believe that I did try.

Get well soon,

Drbeen Medical Lectures
Streamed live 12 hours ago 40.04min

Intermittent Fasting and Potential Immune System Restoration Let's review the mechanism that is at play during the intermittent fasting. This mechanism helps restore the immune system towards a normal state. Possibly helpful to recover from cancer chemotherapy and other immune dysregulations.

The human gut microbiota plays an important role in health and diseases. But little is known about its composition and functional capacity during prolonged fasting when the external nutrient supply is reduced or suppressed. You often asked us: Does the gut microbiome benefit from fasting? Dr. Robin Mesnage, lead data scientist at Buchinger Wilhelmi will answer this question in this video based on an insightful scientific study. Furthermore, he gives tips on how to boost your gut microbiome.

► 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: https://bit.ly/36vQEs5 The scientists analysed the effects of a 10-day periodic fasting on the faecal microbiota of fifteen healthy men. Participants fasted according to the peer-reviewed Buchinger fasting guidelines, which involve a daily energy intake of about 1046 kJ (250 kcal) and an enema every second day.

How do mitochondria contribute to health and disease? - Peter McGuire - YouTube
National Human Genome Research Institute Sep 26, 2020 1.00.24h

Peter McGuire, Ph.D, is an investigator in NHGRI's Medical Genomics and Metabolic Genetics Branch. Throughout his career, Dr. McGuire has been focused on improving the care of patients with disorders of mitochondrial metabolism. His NIH Clinical Center protocols, the NIH MINI Study, is the first organized effort to study immune function in patients with disorders of mitochondrial metabolism, which aims to demonstrate that these patients can be informative regarding the role of mitochondria in immune cell function.

The NHGRI Short Course in Genomics offers science educators the opportunity to hear lectures and receive teaching resources from leading researchers, clinicians and staff. Topics include complex diseases, sequencing technologies, brain and behavior, bioinformatics, gene editing, the human microbiome and ethical issues in genomics research.
