Kuvan/BH4/biopterin

hi,

Who does take BH4/Kuvan/Biopterin.
What are the results?
And how much do you take?

I did get a RX for Kuvan (happy!) but i dont know how much to take?
Start slow is a problem i think because of the tablets that contain 100mg each...

Kan someone advise me?

And do i have to tread my cbs mutation first? Or does bh4 helps with CBS ( sulfur) and ammonia?

Hi Teancum,

For me not so great result.
My doctor who gave me the RX did already told me that!
In the past he gave his patients also biopterin bit also with bad results. There was one guy whi become from depression mania.. But did feel fine on it...
But most no effect.

But he would let me try it... Because you never know.
But the side effects where to heavy ! Headeach numbness and more depressed and NO benefit... So for me its didnt what it had to do! Maybe because it is dependet for other genes as well i dont know. I have much genes that did say low BH4 but did didnt work. Its a shame ...
