There will always be idiots with no empathy or common sense, they have their own miserable evolutionary niche (they fit the role of henchmen beautifully and evil will always need henchmen). It's a shame they manage to get into positions of power, but isn't it magic when are often daft enough to shoot themselves in the foot by saying what they really think in public?
But how can anyone with a conscience work sanctioning desperate claimants for the DWP under the current regime? It must take some extreme mental gymnastics to declare dying people fit for work and then sleep at night.
