Is there a night guard made of a safe material?

Hi everybody,

I have moderate "abfraction" lesions on many of my teeth, probably due to bruxism. My dentist recommended to wear a night guard during the night, but I am afraid that some toxins might leach out of the plastic and be toxic (such us bisphenol-A) .

What night guards would a biological dentist, when facing a serious problem of losing teeth over time? (I'm 38).

My dentist offers a night guard made out of methyl methacrylate...

Any advice will be very welcome!
Best!
Sergio
