I heard today that Dr Lewis passed away a few days ago. I cried when I heard the news.... He was such a wonderful man, always kind and considerate.
His family released this notice...

A few months ago I was talking with my current Dr about Dr Lewis and he said, "To us Drs he is a hero".
He was my hero too!

It almost makes me cry when I read about a kind, thoughtful, empathetic, good Dr leaving this planet, while so many others whose absence would be unnoticed and unsung still loiter about, polluting the lives of suffering, desperate patients.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Cath, as well as that of all his other patients and his loving family.

Life's unfair and often unkind.

This makes me so sad. I see that his clinic, CFS Discovery has closed as well.

I wish some doctor had wanted mentoring so that at least the torch could have been passed. I think Dr. Lerner's clinic closed after he died too. :(

It sounds like he was an incredible human being. I agree with you @YippeeKi YOW !! So hard when such a good, kind doctor leaves the planet.

Prayers for his family for their loss. If we feel it in the community, how must they be feeling right now. :(

:( this is so sad, he was such a great person. I'd been in contact with him at one point trying to get to see him (unfortunately I could not find a way to travel to see him). He was always wanting to help people.

:( so many of our Australian ME/CFS specialists are no longer about (4-5 of mine are gone) and sadly there does not seem to be people replacing them. The situation is worst than ever.
