I seem to be in remission (ME/CFS moderate since 2007)

I know you posted after this but I wanted to tell you when I start high dose Vitamin D, and K2 (later added Vitamin C which is needed with such high doses of D) my floaters went away. For several months I had one that was like a big black spider (like one made out of thick black yarn) hanging down into my vision. I started the D after going to a rheumatologist who said I had Fibromyalgia and wanted me on some other meds but he had also tested my D and it was low.

The eye floater went away after I started the D (I wasn't expecting that) and that was the only thing I remember changing around that time. I didn't start on the medicine he prescribed. It was known to have some really bad side effects and also difficult to get off of.

I just take the D about once every 7-10 days...sometimes not even that often as I frequently forget.

Hope with the more recent changes you are able to get back on your remission protocol.
Recently there was a paper showing that the amount of Vitamin D we produce out in the sun in a day is actually 25,000 IU. I think that is quite interesting given the usual recommendation is 1000 IU and we now know that we get better immune system response well above the minimum. Looks like the toxic dose is around 75,000 IU so there is a good chance we are all massively underdoing the Vitamin D supplementation. The other piece of interesting research on this was in regards to Calcium in the arteries, turns out Vitamin D is not the cause of calcification and it doesn't look like it causes the problem but also that Vitamin K2 might help reduce it. These two papers might indicate we can do quite a bit more in Vit D and K2 than we do today to help the immune system and calcium handling along.

Edit: It can take a year to full stabalise too which means Vitamin D is something you should take in high doses for a long time to boost the immune system and restore function.

Do you mind if I ask how much D you take per week?
I really like the ProHealth Extreme D. It's 50,000iu which seems like a lot but the liver stores Vitamin D and uses what we need as we need it. However, you want to take it with K2 and some form of Vitamin C (which I noticed you have on your list already).

I've always had low D and since I've been taking this one, like I said just one pill about every 7-10 days, my last test showed my D level was at 80. :)

Edit: I tried another brand with that same dose but it made me feel ill. IDK why but it did. However, the ProHealth works well for me. Hopefully it will work well for others too.
