Published online in Immunity August 23, 2019.

Summary:
  • In mouse models of autoimmune disorders, drinking sugary water worsened disease by activating inflammatory immune cells.
  • The findings suggest that a low-sugar diet may help prevent or treat autoimmune diseases such as Crohn’s disease and multiple sclerosis.

My own experiences with sugar and CFS/ME & fibro & neuropathy & Rayunaud's & IBS & diverticular disease & a couple more, lead me to accept the concept with little doubt.
Thanks for that insight @southwestforests.

Given it's animal model research, one always wonders if the findings also apply to humans.

NIH has shown such strong support of this study, as a follow-on wouldn't it be nice if they got their nutrition scientists working on diets and meal plans for autoimmune patients?
