Hidden dental infection

I am fairly certain that I have an infection in my bone in the upper where the periodontal sheath was infected for so many years. I also think it is affecting the sinus directly above that. I have got to get periodontal surgery, but I dread it with a passion. I think we are onto one of the areas that are aggravated by ME/CFS. Seems like anyplace an infection can settle in it will.
You are right , any infection will settle in our body very easily.
I'm terribly suffering recurrent infection after wisdom teeth extraction. Had 14 rounds of antibiotics in 9 months. Now planning on long term course. Doctors and dentists are clueless but I guess upper wisdom teeth extraction site got infected after dry socket dressing. It is extending to sinus too.
Worse is that tooth was asymptomatic but oral surgeon got greedy. Can't they spare someone as sick as us?

Well, @manasi12 I am finding more and more that I must advocate for myself and I can say no to treatments and certain medications that I react to and even surgery. I am surely getting better at this as I go along, and as I educate myself. Knowledge is power!

All the best to you!

I've also lost front teeth to infection. There was a lot of difficulty with getting implants.... Infection and I also have osteoporosis, loss of bone and cartilage.

Sinus infection ? since childhood. Most of the literature is about oral infections spreading to sinuses, and I don't doubt it, but it seems infection can spread the other way. It seems to have spread to the ear too.

Dentists, oral surgeons, periodontists don't test the type of pathogen, they just give us some stock antibiotic that probably doesn't kill the true offender, especially when they prescribe amoxicillin.

For now, I'm rinsing with 3% hydrogen peroxide. I dilute it with distilled water, add that to a sinus pump, and use that daily. Seems to help stave infection.

I am holding colloidal silver on my infected gum, and that seems to help. If I hold it long enough it is absorbed in the tissue and I do not have any to swallow. I am trying to keep the bacterial balance in my gut at the same time.

Did anyone in this thread have cavitations surgery ?

To the OP: if the root canal wasn't removed properly (the dentist must use piezzo, scrap the bone and remove the ligament, then use ozone and PRF), the area is probbaly still infected. You need an educated dentist to clean it properly and make sure no nasty bacterias are still there.
This Facebook group might help to find a dentist in your area: "Nico, jawbone infection, root canals, implants, cavitations".

The "Root Cause" documentary (about the danger of root canals, cavitations and implants) is available on YouTube:

All root canals are infected, they release cytokines in the bloodstream and can make us very sick. The extraction of teeth causes cavitations which are osteonecrosis of the jawbone. Chronic fatigue is a very common symptom.

My friend did. 40 years after wisdom tooth surgery, she had multiple cavitations that were finally found, seem to be the root cause of her many years of illness. She had been through all kinds of excellent treatments that did nothing until this was found.

A previous dentist had dug out one of them, but apparently not enough. She was looking at going to Europe for treatment because she felt the best dentist were there, but found one here in the US who was able to dig it out down to into the bone, apply ozone, pack it with antibiotics and antibiotic herbs, and treat the rest of them similarly, and she has greatly improved.

Hi Learner1!
I would love to hear more about your friend's recovery! :) What symptoms did she have? Did they all vanish after the surgery? Soon after, or did it take a few months? Did she go to Dr S.N in Marble Falls? We should add her recovery story here: https://forums.phoenixrising.me/threads/suggestion-for-new-sub-forum-about-improvements-things-that-have-helped

I will get cavitation surgery in France, I am getting 1 abcessed tooth removed + 1 cavitation cleaned out at the end of June, and the other 2 cavitations in 2-3 months. My CFS, neck pain, headaches etc started soon after my wisdom teeth extraction, 10 years ago. Fingers crossed !!
