Hi Nabo, I just wanted to say hi and tell you I am thinking of you. I am so sorry. Please hang in. Have you been to a headache specialist? Is it a migraine? I take Imitrex Nasal spray. It could be anything including a virus. Everyone presents such different symtoms, it's hard to say. Have you been checked for lyme disease?

Magnesium has really helped me. I think alkalinizing the body helps too. Bio salts. B5 is supposed to help with headaches too. I am sure many will have some ideas for you. : )

I had the headache too when I first got sick. I started taking omega 3 fish oil on the advice of people with the same problem, and the headache went away. The headache comes back if I stop taking the fish oil, so I'm certain it's working for me.

Two per day is usually enough for me, though sometimes I do three if symptoms get worse.

If you have not yet tried fish oil for a few days, please try it! It's very cheap and easy to get, and makes life a lot more pleasant. Albert Heijn and Etos both have it, and probably the other supermarkets and drug stores too.

The majority of headaches are usually a sign of dehydration. Think i read 80%. Fish oil is good.
Have you had diarrhoea? Do you sweat?

Things initially to trial would be:
Fish oil like Valentijn suggested. Increasing good fatty acids like nuts and avocados.
Potassium/Magnesium
Avoid diarrhoetics/alcohol/coke/too much sugar.
Drink about 2 litres a day. (Does drinking help it?)
It also could be referred pain due to neck/shoulder problems.
http://www.pressurepointer.com/PressurePointerManual.pdf - look for the list for headaches.
And it could be food sensitivities.

Oh you poor darling! It must be terrible. Please try some of the things that people here have suggested.

I have not had a headache at all since I got sick, so cannot imagine, what it is like, although I sometimes think about how it must be for you people.

Hi Nabo,

I am really sorry that you suffer so much from headaches!
I can totally empathize since I've had headaches almost every day since I became ill. (9 years ago)
I actually wake up with a headache every single day. It is just a matter of degree. Sometimes it's bearable and at other times it's so bad that all I can do is cry.
I have been to Neurologists, Allergists and my CFS specialist. It seems that my headaches are migraine headaches but they get exasperated by allergies, sensitivities and my ongoing sinus problems.

I have not found anything to treat it well. I take a lot of Benadryl, Advil and at times when it's crazy I take a Vicodin.

The only medicine in the past that worked for me, (don't forget, we are all different) was Topomax which is an anti-seizure drug but, have been found to be a preventative for migraines. I was on it for about 7 months and for 5-6 months, it worked like a miracle. My headaches just didn't come. Even if they did once in a while, they were tinu and manageable. Unfortunately, I had to discontinue this med because of the very severe cognitive side effects.

I'm sorry I can't give you a good answer. Just wanted to tell you, you are not alone and I empathize with your pain.
I would certainly try the advice of the other members here.

Good luck and wishing you more days headache free.
