Iam from Austria as well and at the beginning of my illness, i desperatly searched for a Doctor that could help me with my ME. By that time, Dr. Stingl was the only knowlegdeable doctor in Austria (and probably still is) but to get an apointment, was nearly Impossible.
Here comes my personal view of someone that has been to several doctors and even long covid "Specialists":
I quickly realised that ME and LC are probably two diseases, where patients sometimes are better educated than 99% of the doctors, because they spend most of there time online researching and networking. One reason is the doctor shortage and the long waiting lists here in austria, they just dont give a damn about complex illnesses, because they get there bread and butter anyway. A lot claim to understand this desease and then they offer you red light therapie or ozone infusions or some other bullshit that dont help.

So whats the solution?
Again this my personal advice. I went to my family doctor and said to him, "look, i understand you dont want to deal with this, but for god sake, let me try some offlabel drugs" , then i brought him research papers/ drug lists from charite and i got all that fancy stuff mestinon, abilify, naltrexone.
