Has anyone had (FNA) Biopsy for active thyroid infections (HHV-6, EBV, etc)

I'm trying to find the best way to go about looking for any active infections in my thyroid gland.

I want to rule out that there isn't an active HHV-6, EBV, enterovirus, PVB19, adenovirus, or bacterial infection in my thyroid.

I believe there's a good chance that one of these infections are actually what caused my Hashimoto and hypothyroidism (HHV-6 is of particular concern).

Has anyone done Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) thyroid biopsy for this sort of thing before?
