Has anyone ever been tested for Autoimmune Retinopathy?

I have an upcoming appointment with a doctor who specializes in autoimmune visual issues and he mentioned autoimmune retinopathy to me over the phone.

I was amazed because I had never heard of this before and always assumed my vision loss was due to my Autoimmune Encephalitis, but the more research I did, the more I realized my vision symptoms weren't typical with AE at all and almost perfectly match with Autoimmune Retinopathy (AIR). The test for this disease is an ERG of the eyes and bloodwork to check for anti retinal antibodies.

Has anyone heard of this before?
