got a diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder. How to stop it

I had a bit of a bad time ten years ago and thought someone was after me and I ran away from home. Then they gave me a diagnosis of schizophrenia which has now been changed to Bi Polar Disorder which I don't have. I am recovered from ME/CFS and I don't have mood swings like it says in Bi polar that you get. I don't think anyone is after me now and what I think I had ten years ago was anxiety. They are giving me antipsychotic injections which I don't want. I am in the UK. What can I do? Can I refuse medicine? I am not sectioned. Will they section me if I refuse? I am healthy so how can they section me? Shall I get a second opinion or something? I don't have Bipolar disorder.

You could get a second diagnosis with a clinic that specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

I'm assuming you're female because females with ASD are often misdiagnosed as having either Schizophrenia or Bi Polar Disorder. Autism presents very differently in females, they are very good at masking to blend in with their piers. If you want to learn more search your local library for books by the author Tony Attwood. He is the world leader in understanding Autism. The book "The complete guide to Asperger's syndrome" has a chapter on females - if you read it you will know if this is you.

The problem is the diagnostic criteria for ASD was originally based on males so females rarely ever get diagnosed. Tony Attwood has really led to field worldwide in recognizing how ASD presents differently in females. This is not well known so you really need to specialist clinic.

Now the good thing about ASD is it's not treatable with drugs. The brain developed that way before birth. So once the diagnosis is accepted you should be let go.

Hi. I don't think I have ASD either. I am male. I am 55 and I would know if I have this by now. I don't have any mental disorder I don't think.

There is a woman who cured her bipolar with diet and supplements. Will try to remember her name/site.

As far as I know, you could say that you want to try reducing your medication by going on pills then reducing (if the injections are all one dose) as you feel that you don't need the dose you are on. Getting legal advice is good.

Im concerned what will happen if you go off antipsychotics cold turkey. That can give anyone a psychotic ir other severe reaction- which then they may use as more “proof”. What loison are they giving you? Youd tbink theyd at least use lithium even if they thought you did have it- its a good drug and some normals even take it for life extension and other purposes

So i like yourE idea of asking for pills. Tgat you can gradually reduce them on your own.

I didnt realize some otherwise civilized countries can force people to take treatments
