George,
Are you still planning to start a new "clean" thread when the Q&A comes on?

Any bet's?

(big grins) There are currently 45 people watching videos on the NIH video cast, anyone want to bet we take the server down at 5:20??? (big grins) It's going to be tough when 2 to 5 thousand people hit the server at the same time from all over the world. Should let em know we're listening.

Does anyone know if the Q&A Webcast will be available to watch again later, like the CFSAC meeting webcasts are? I tend to miss a lot when I'm watching live, and like to view them again.

Things seem to have calmed down. This thread should be fine. Mark, are you still here to keep things nice?

George, where did you get the 100% accuracy thing?

Just woke up from a quick nap. While I'm still exhausted, for no money in the world I'd miss this webcast. Although it looks a bit delayed....

Nice to see a reliable test for XMRV, I think this test will help us to understand a lot more about the controversial discrepancies in all the studies. I don't know if CC twitter simplified it's tweet but I suppose this is only a XMRV assay, not the other MLVs?

I don't know what do you guys think? Does it need it's own thread???

Just wondering about the chit chat we've been engaging in while waiting. A new thread would avoid people having to trip through our merry casual conversation (and other things) in order to find info from the Q&A. I don't care either way -- just thinking'.......

Yep, available in 2 to 3 days. I know they get the CFSAC up in 24 hours so even if ya miss it, ya won't miss it.

Yes, everybody has been absolutely wonderful I think we will keep this thread and I look forward to a good hash out on the Dr. Hubner thread. . . .tomorrow. (grins) Cause I'm at the point of having trouble typing now. Gakk!

From twitter:

# Bannert: None of the 36 CFS patients or 27 healthy controls tested positive for XMRV. #XMRV #MECFS half a minute ago via HootSuite

Norbert Bannert from Robert Koch-Institut: Based on his sequencing, he could not find XMRV in CFS or ME patients in Germany. #XMRV #MECFS 3 minutes ago via HootSuite

How come they're announcing the negative results? Is it because this isn't news - we know that there are negative studies for XMRV, and releasing more of them isn't a problem? The Huber one still hasn't been published, so maybe there's not much interest in them?
