Female hormone help

So which hormone is the one that causes heavy bleeding? Estrogen or Progesterone? Also what do these numbers represent? Is this within normal ranges or do they indicate Estrogen dominance? Thank you!

The ratio of estradiol to progesterone is 227 pmol/L estradiol to <0.5 nmol/L progesterone

Already taking but it's not the primary reason. Which is why I thought these numbers would give a bigger clue.

The one associated with heavy periods is high estrogen, but of course it can have other causes, too.
I don't really know anything about the blood test levels in particular, other than that their interpretation also depends on when in your cycle the blood was taken.

I like Aviva Romm's website for everything menstruation. She's a doctor specialised on women's health and has an extensive blog which is my first go to for everything menstruation. I'll copy in the link for an entry specifically on heavy periods, but there is a lot more.

Thanks! I will look into this. I may be low in zinc. I looked into the estrogen progesterone ratio and I think my estrogen is still considered too high for the less than 0.5 progesterone.
