I found a lab in my town which performed Lyme (Borrelia) tests, so I decided to pay myself for the test. The results were disappointing, to say at least:
IgG
8.2 UA/mL
Reference values:
Below 10 UA/mL: Nonreactive
Between 10 and 15 UA/mL: Indeterminate
Above 15 UA/mL: Reactive
IgM
0,3
Reference values:
Below 0.9: Nonreactive
Between 0.9 and 1.1: Indeterminate
Above 1.1: Reactive
So, as you can see, my IgG value was very close to "indeterminate". However, every doctor will say I'm negative for Lyme. But, are they right? Could this be a false negative result?
