Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency

Since this started for me I've had yellow stools and what I suspect is malabsorption as I am having vitamin deficiencies.

I fear it may be Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. Doe anyone else experience the same? I've heard it's a common symptom on ME/CFS and Long COVID patients.

EPI leads to steatorrhea as you lose the ability to break down fats. yellow stool could be a sign of the gallbladder not working correctly, which could also be caused by an inflamed pancreas (they both terminate at the sphincter of oddi).

edit: if your deficiencies are fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K) it could point to EPI. diagnosis is done with a fecal elastase test and then confirmed by endoscopy to figure out what's going on.

Hi
It could be gallbladder issues.
