I appreciated the well written article. For me, it's another lesson on how long-term antibiotics are probably not going to work for the vast majority of people. Lyme is such a complex disease, that for most people, a variety of measures are going to be needed to really permanently recover.

I think it is also a lesson to learn from that she actually had an erythema migrans (red growing mark or ring) after the tick-bite that by definition IS Lyme disease and should be treated without any tests needed. Diagnosed with Neuroborreliosis she should also have IV antibiotics a.o. Her stiff neck was probably due to a meningitis. Another sad Lyme/ Borrelia story. Thanks @Valentijn for posting.
