Keep copies of everything as it's likely you will need to appeal to get this and to put it bluntly the DWP cant be trusted - in fact not trusting them should be your default position, tey are not their to help you, they are there to refuse help unless you can persuade them that they would lose at appeal.
This is spot on. They are the absolute enemy. They are sneaky too. For example, they often have a building at least 100 meters away from the nearest car park. So, although you have little choice, you find you have to walk the distance, even if it makes you more ill. They will note this, and then use it to prove that you can walk 100 meters, as if you do it all the time.
They will also assume rediculous things. For example, if you say you have soup most lunchtimes, instead of assuming that you get a carton or a tin, they assume that you made it from scratch! Yeah right, as if!
So you have to be careful what you say, and ensure they record things accurately. Their job is to deny you benefit, not to give you what you are entitled to.
