Effort to replicate psychology studies

This could open up some faculty positions in psychology departments around the world. Unfortunately, none of the psychosomatic journals are on the list.

Excellent, more of this needs to be done I look forward to seeing how it pans out. One thought though if they exactly replicate poor methodology they might get the same result but both could be wrong.

Thanks - like the sound of this! Though of course it's not just a problem in psychology.

wdb - good point, though replication studies often choose to rectify any glaring errors. Even so, just to find out if a study can be repeated using the original methodology would be telling. If, as has been speculated, 25% or more of studies can't be replicated that would cast doubt on the whole field.
