thank you for this posting. The stories of the ones who were in this "documentary" are shocking to read how they were twisted by those who did this.
It saddens me to see how much some of them are now trying to defend themselves over what was said about them and the hate mails some of them are now getting from being in this documentary. urgh I was reading Pilar's story and the abuse she is now having to deal with due to being this film...horrific.. and how the producers sliced bits and pieces together to form completely incorrect things. https://medium.com/@pily_const/the-truth-about-the-most-hated-character-in-afflicted-f7a4ee0e7cfb
I hope the ones in this film can take some legal action or something from what has been done to them but what's the bet the ones who did this film have themselves covered by whatever they made them sign before filming started.
When you have this illness you can not trust many others as too many out there are out to make those with this illness look terrible. There are people in some high up places who do not want this illness to be real (insurance companies??? a government thing???) and their crap filters down to all the other levels of things.
Be always suspicious of those who tell you they are trying to help you but you notice any odd things with which dont support they believe in this illness. All these people in this film with ME/CFS were very terribly sick with proof of that but still got all their stories twisted so that things were shown in a supporting psych. kind of light.

I wish someone could make another documentary to give these ones a real chance to tell their real stories!!

An undistorted alternative documentary might well show up the first as biased or incompetent.

yes and the whole situation then could be used to publically show the biased out there towards ME patients. This bad situation could be turned into a positive one.
The people out there doing this kind of thing do it as they know currently they can get away with this kind of thing. Someone needs to prove them wrong.
