Doctor in Ahseville, NC area

Anyone know of a ME/CFS friendly GP, FP, Internist, Functional, Holistic, Integrative or otherwise in or near the Asheville NC area? Even in Charlotte, NC if need be. And NO Hunter Hopkins or Dr. Lapp recommendations please. My NP of 5 years told me to find a new doctor as she is not willing to "treat" ME/CFS. Thanks so much, Missy

Why not Hunter Hopkins? I just moved to the area and was hoping they might be useful.

Not sure if you're still around PR or if you are still looking for a doctor in Ashville. I just watched this VIDEO by this doctor. At least I think this is him but unfortunately the website says he has stopped taking new patients. :(

However there is another doctor there.

Also they have CFS listed as conditions they treat. Of course, that doesn't mean they really know about it.
Still they do list it separately from Adrenal fatigue (a good sign) and also say, CFS "...Often mistaken for regular bouts of exhaustion or a psychological rather than a physical problem, chronic fatigue syndrome is unmistakably physical and debilitating." So at least they don't think it's psychological. :)

My recommendation would be to find a good traditional MD internist who is open to working with a CFS specialist doctor whom you can do remote visits with. The integrative doctors in your area are not CFS specialists and will just run you through general functional medicine treatments until you run out of money.
