Yes, indeed, a person can really blow up with internal gas generated by the yeast feeding on the sugar.I've also read that candida thrives on sugar...though I don't know any more on that.
Thanks Tony, I just wondered as I have a sugar free diet but am thinking of trying to bakesome biscuits using stevia, my results were okay on the fructose and glucose intolerance.
Stevia can be almost as bad as sugar for those who are low carbs diets.
Another option is Xylitol which is a natural sweetener (which is made from birch or corn).
I havent tried it yet but I recently came across pure vegatable glycerine and it says on the bottle that that can be used as a sweetener.
