“UNREST” M.E. Documentary Screening

Public
· Hosted by UCC Science Society

Tuesday, 10 March 2020 at 19:30

UCC Science Society
UCC, College Road, Cork T12 KT27

Join us all in Boole 1 on March 10th at 7:30pm for our documentary
screening of Unrest

Jennifer Brea's Sundance award-winning documentary, Unrest, is a
personal journey from patient to advocate to storyteller. Jennifer is
twenty-eight years-old, working on her PhD at Harvard, and months away
from marrying the love of her life when a mysterious fever leaves her
bedridden. When doctors tell her it's "all in her head," she picks up
her camera as an act of defiance and brings us into a hidden world of
millions that medicine abandoned.

We are also delighted to welcome guest speaker Michelle Dinn, who has
the disease herself, who will be giving a talk on her experience with
the disease and answer any questions or queries that you guys might
have! ⭐️ We have connected with the Cork M.E. Association and the
Irish M.E/CFS Association and will be collecting some donations during
the evening for them. Any donations would be gladly accepted!

Bound to be a very interesting night, we look forward to seeing you all there!
