Just discovered this in a Vancouver Sun article today which was originally published in the Ottawa Citizen.
Mental illness claims continue to rise in federal public service


.... 5.9 per cent include acute stress reaction, chronic fatigue syndrome, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, schizophrenia, bulimia, anorexia, dementia phobias and illness-related drug and alcohol use.

Very annoying to see a major Canadian media conglomerate including ME/CFS as a mental illness, especially in the grouping they use in the article.​

We should let the paper know. It looks like they were going by the insurance company's report, and first hand I've run into the problem of insurance companies still classifying CFS as a mental illness. The paper needs to be corrected.

As a side note, I would keep in mind if you do write to them that as I recall they ran at least one good awareness piece in the past. Clearly someone just didn't make the connection here.
