Ala has turned on me before, they can. I had increased energy for around a month and my neuropathy went way down. There were times I felt my pre-2016 normal in certain respects but one day after a single dose it crashed me back worse than where I was when I started.

To answer the title question, with ME, it seems likely that any treatment or general supplement can cause problems. I think mitochondrial dysfunction is not a part of ME, although it can be for some people, since messing up any part of the body can affect other parts. From other reports here, I don't get the impression that mitochondrial boosters or supplements actually help all that many people. Not reliably. For the ones that do provide some benefit, it might not be due to actually affecting the person's mitochondrial function.

Why do you think that mitochondria dysfunction is not part of me and there is a lot benefiting from NAD oxecelate d-ribose

I've had an interesting reaction lately to a new pill.

I've been trying Plasmalogens, taken for about a two months. (Prodrome Glial) And during that time, a very swollen lymph node has gradually gotten better and better. I stopped doing anything directly, as I had been applying illegal DMSO and old castor oil and other things. It was still quite enlarged. The first time I went after it with DMSO and CO, my right eye became acutely toxic. That has not happened since the first time. Mild versions happen, my eye throbs, and aches and can't focus.

Assuming that Plasmalogens improve the function of cell membranes, and thinking about where cell membranes are located, it seems like I can almost announce that the Plasmalogens are likely responsible for this improvement in my lymph drainage system.

( And no wonder I"m out of it every day: because whats stored up in these congested lymph nodes? )

I struggle alot with detox. Herxing I'm less sure.

Why do you think that mitochondria dysfunction is not part of me
As I said, mitochondrial dysfunction can be a problem for some PWME; it depends on the individual, since we're a complex of interacting subsystems. Other PWME can have ME symptoms without showing obvious signs of mitochondrial dysfunction. Even when I was having a really bad ME day, I could, if I really needed to, do strenuous physical activity; no sign of lack of ATP. I haven't seen any ME study that revealed that the majority of PWME have reduced ATP production.

Also, if something considered to be a mitochondrial booster is affecting your symptoms, it isn't necessarily due to the known theoretical concept. The supplement might not be affecting your cells directly, but might, for example, be affecting some microbes in your gut in a way that leads to a reduction in symptoms. I expect there are few supplements that have only one effect in our bodies. Some might have one effect in one type of cell, and a different one in another. A number of people have reported treatments for ME that reduce one symptom but cause unpleasant side effects. I can't recall any specific cases where a treatment has reduced one ME symptom and increased another ME symptom, but I expect they'd occur.
