I have had CFS for 28 years with 23 of them being too sick to exercise a lot. During the 23 years I had back pain.
With chiropractic treatment my pain goes away then returns.
I think it is because my muscles are weak and de-conditioned so that any benefit from a chiropractic adjustment will go because I am not able to do the strengthening exercises that they recommend for the back muscles.
Now here are my questions: After 23 years of CFS and muscle pain, is it possible to have back damage from lying down a lot?
How often should you get your back checked out if you have long term CFS and lie down a lot?
They check for problems in the back by doing a CT nowadays. It has radiation in it and a hassle to do. So I don't want to do it unless there is a good chance of finding something. My orthoped says I probably have nothing and to "exercise" but he also does not believe in CFS.
Also is it possible for a person with 20 years of CFS to have a undiagnosed problem come up e.g herniated disc, spinal degeneration or something else?
Can a diagnosis like that appear simultaneously from just lying down a lot and go temporarily with chiropractic adjustments?
