B12 once or multiple times a day?

I've recently started taking B12 (two weeks ago). I am taking 1mg once a day sublingually, a good brand.

My question is do people tend to take 1mg only once a day or spread it over the day at regular intervals instead?

My ME specialist prefers people to use B12 patches but I have too sensitive skin (get red itchy welts with sticking plasters) which is why I decided on sublingual B12 instead.

Also how long does it usually take to feel the full beneficial effects - weeks/months?

Thanks :)
