Gonna take another run at get my methylation / detox cycles working properly by taking a different angle than I have previously (with an awesome Lynch trained doc).

It’s been suggested that I start with Molybdenum and B-1. What dosages do folks find helpful or good to start at with these?

Also going to add R5P to my “mito cocktail” — the doc who has prescribed that (includes A, E, C, Creatine and ALA) likes straight Riboflavin (400 mg HS), but I’ve not tolerated that in the past. I’ve decided to try R5P but he’s not familiar with it. Anyone have a suggested / equivalent dose for R5P?

Thanks all!!!

In my experience and reading countless posts here. A dose that works for one person with ME/CFS, will often make another have significant side effects. For example, somebody might do really well starting with 20 mg P5P.

20 mg of P5P will make me feel incredibly anxious and give me insomnia. Stories like this are extremely common. What I do is start with a very, very low dose of something and see what happens.

Then go up very slowly to avoid side effects. I wish I could give you a dosage guideline of some kind but if I did it would just be a gamble on weather it helped you feel better or gave you side effects that could vary in their intensity from mild to really awful.

I have tried R5P several times but didn't notice anything from it. However it might help you. It seems like our body chemistries are unique to us as individuals and we each need different supplements and different doses of those supplements to help us function better.

Excellent advice! I’ll just start with the lowest dose I can find on the market for each of these....

I think that's a good place to start. Although you might need to take even less of the lowest dose you can find. I often need to open capsules or cut tablets to get a dose that's right for me. Good luck!

I have found many supplements that are helping me a lot and I would be much worse without them!:)
