I have stuff like that happen from time to time. Sometimes it sounds like music, sometimes like people talking, all kind of in the distance, like it's from the next room. It happens when it's quiet. I don't have tinnitus.

This is very much like my normal experience - thankfully not all the time!

Full auditory hallucinations, i.e. not off in the distance, can indicate seizures also. For 20 years my seizure disorder was only partially controlled. I didn't realize that many of the bizarre things my brain did were actually seizure related. A CFS brain is batty enough all on its own. One of the most common occurrences is the perception that a leg or arm is suddenly much larger than it actually is. Very weird!
