Anyone on AV's had fewer or less severe colds/flu?

Hi. I know they say Valrex, Acyclovir, etc. is not effective against cold or flu viruses. But I still wonder if anyone has noticed if they seem to help.

I had my first cold in years after starting AVs in Oct. So it didn't help me! My cold had a normal duration of about a week, but then a week later it was followed up with a rash.
