I've been asked by a patient if anybody knows of any specalists in or near Indiana.

Dr Lerner was probably the closest, in MI, but he is not seeing patients at the moment due to cancer treatment.
There aren't a lot of options, really. It would probably depend more on the symptoms and the type of treatment one is most interested in pursuing.
I see a Lyme specialist who works with me on a variety of issues. There are a number of GPs with some sort of integrative approach who see MECFS patients but the pickings are pretty slim unfortunately.
Dr Guyer is another possibility though he is very expensive and I've heard mixed reviews.
