Alacer Electro Mix really helping

I'm so glad I found this forum. Occasionally, I've gotten lightheaded when standing, more from rising from a prone position than from sitting. This has gone on just occasionally as long as I remember, and I assume it's because my blood pressure runs low.

It's gradually gotten more frequent, and last Friday I got really lightheaded and queasy after standing. I got clearheaded fairly quickly, but the queasiness lingered.

I tried adding a little salt to some water, but it didn't help much. I then read on this forum that someone suggested Electro Mix. I got some at Whole Foods and felt so much better.

I've had a packet a day since then, and most of those symptoms have gone away. Drinking this mix every day seems inexpensive and safe.

I must be lucky: I don't have POTS because I don't feel my heart rate increase when I stand up. I'm hoping that drinking the electrolytes and adding a little more salt to my diet will be sufficient for what I assume is an effect from low blood pressure.

Last week when I was having those episodes pretty frequently, my sleep was worse. Since going on the Electro Mix, I'm back to where I was. I don't know if my symptoms caused the poor sleep or it was just a coincidence.

I'm glad it is helping you!

I Just ordered some of this and tried it today. Taste is ok, lemon lime, added a little extra stevia. Only cost about $7 for 30 packets.

I ordered it to get some extra potassium, as I drink a lot of water and am taking the MethylB12/Metafolin which requires more potassium. Hope the form they put in electro mix is a absorbable.

Do you mix your packet to a full liter of water, or less? My only concern about using less water is the citric acid which could be hard on tooth enamel. Seems like you could use less water and just chug it down if you needed a quick boost of electrolytes.

I mix mine in my 16oz water bottle. I get a quick boost that way in the morning with the first 8 oz or so. Then I refill my bottle, diluting the mix, several times over the course of the day so that I continue to get some electrolytes most of the day. I don't know if this is logical at all, but it works for me. :)

I use it too. Cheaper from Vitacost!

If you need something more potent, unflavored pedialite (chugging a whole liter) seems to have a similar effect to a bag of IV saline.
