A warning about Dr Tina Peers (and her clinic)

Just to preface: I'm not looking to start any kind of debate, simply inform people. If, like us, this is NOT the kind of medical support you're looking for, you should know this if you are looking for MCAS support in the UK.

I arranged a private appointment with one of the doctors in Tina Peers' clinic (a subsection of the menopause consultancy) who all specialise in long COVID, MCAS, etc. When my partner's MCAS became so severe they were hospitalised, Dr Peers herself agreed to an urgent appointment once they were discharged, which I was delighted by having heard so many good things about her, and the fact that she doesn't even take on new patients herself anymore.

However, the majority of the hour was a confusing ramble of....insanity. She talked about how the COVID vaccines were "a lie", and that the vaccine had "poisoned" my partner, insisting they take ivermectin to cure themselves. She also strongly recommended various expensive products, one being the arc device which she claimed help cure her father's cancer. She recommended a supplement apparently designed by "quantum physicists" to be able to destroy COVID spike proteins. She claimed that ME is all caused by mast cells. She barely asked about my partner's symptoms and history, most of the call was an endless spiraling tale of "miracle" patients cured with ivermectin, and that "noone who ever took it got covid".

So...yeah, if that's not for you, don't waste your time, money, energy, and hope on her. And since she trained all the doctors at her clinic, probably avoid the rest of them too. I am thoroughly embarrassed and ashamed in myself for not doing better due diligence, and for putting my partner through that. Please don't make the same mistake I did.

You know at this point I kind of agree with her, when it comes to the mrna tech, it has the potential to create a bad auto-immune situation due to the lingering particles and spike proteins they produce.

But yes for her to go on the way it sounds like she did here, and focus on these things seems quite odd and unprofessional, along with her thinking she knows exactly what is going on and what the solution is. Sounds more like a random person online who has gotten overly caught up in all the covid drama.

There is a recent ivermectin post here, kind of perked my interest in the subject again after all the endless drama over the past few years and am kind of interested in trying it, but don't have any expectations...

Thanks for the warning, Spinach Hands. We know you're exceptionally busy with your partner's illness and all of the tasks that have to be done.

At the very least, we should all be able to make our own decisions about how to proceed. Your partner sounded very weak the last time you wrote. Have things improved? I know the hospitalization wasn't of much use.

My husband met a man he knew a few years ago. He lost way over 50 lbs. due to Long Covid. No taste, trouble breathing and the usual list of problems. A very bright man, who has surely looked into everything. He didn't say what he was taking, but he was clearly very ill. There are so many similarities to our own problems.

Make your own decisions, and I do hope your partner is gaining some strength each day. I'm sure it's a frustrating experience for both of you. Yours, Lenora

Is this person a recognised Doctor and on the medical register in the UK?
Send a letter to the GMC about her behaviour because she sound's utterly crazy to me. They took action against another Doctor Sarah Myhill fairly recently and gave her a 9 month ban for promoting the use of alternative treatments for ME and not what many on this forum might consider to be being utterly crazy like the person that you saw.

well sorry for the scam part with these stupid devices, but i'm also a 120% concerned that the mRNA vaccine was a fraud. actually the term anti-vaxxer is heavily insulting because it suggests having a despise to all vaccines wich isn't true for the most people.

i am perfectly fine with all the normal vaccine technology. i just believe the mRNA-vaccine was to early, phase 3 trial skipped and an unperfect vaccine causing a lot of damage. just imagine saying this in 2021, they would've called you a fraud, nazi, conspiracy theorist. its crazy that the backlash was this heavy, wasn it?

facebook's mark zuckerberg even admitted that the biden administration forced them to surpress negative information about the vaccine. i would be concerned about this.

Yes, although her website very recently updated to say she's "stepping away from allopathic medicine", so potentially there is something going on with her license there. She's actually still on the list of recommended doctors that the UK charity Mast Cell Action sends out, so I'm going to write to them too. Agree that Dr Myhill has had her license suspended for much less, so I am considering a report to the GMC too (when I have time/energy)

Hi Lenora,

Thanks for checking in. They've been doing a little better actually. They got very unwell again shortly after we got back from hospital. We think a combination of a new antihistamine they started on, and mold/damp issues in our home. If hospital gave us one thing, it was realising how much our house's mold/damp issues have been affecting their health (and mine too!). So the past couple of weeks has been a blitz of finding a new place to live. Going to be binning nearly all our earthly possessions to avoid cross contamination, and basically starting our lives from scratch. As sad as it is, there's something refreshing about it too. Their MCAS issues are still really bad, but their ME has continued to recover despite it all- they've been able to use their phone and listen to audio books which has been amazing!!

Hope you're doing well Lenora, thinking of you too
