i wonder how patients who have a scooter are transporting it in their cars, anybody can share what transfer methods they are using, ramps, lifts and/or homemade apparatus? (My scooter does not dismantle and weighs over 300 lbs)

i just got a minivan and need to decide what device I will purchase, and someone mentioned using a dog ramp- since they are very light. i wonder if anybody have tried them. A Bruno lift sounds like the perfect method however they are expensive and I have just heard my insurance will not cover it.

A medical ramp is proving too heavy for me to lift and install.

thanks, Kati
