Hey all,

What is considered the ideal ratio of folate to B12 dosage amounts? What amounts are most people taking once they tolerate a fair amount of both?

Thanks!

Hi,
this question seems pretty popular. :)
There is no rule, I am afraid, although there are some schools of thought.

Personally I am experimenting with ~4mg methylfolate and 10mg Methyl-B12 + 8mg Adeno-B12. Pushing the B12 at this point doesn't seem to add any benefits. About the folate I am still tweaking the dosage.

In Dr.Lynch's folate/B12 supplements (SeekingHealth) you get 800mcg folate + 1000mcg B12. I don't know if there's any specific reason why this ratio should be better than others.

cheers
