Vitamin C

Anyone finding vitamin C helping them? I've noticed lately when I am getting that run down feeling, I have been craving orange juice. I've noticed that by the next day after consuming a bit of orange juice that I feel much better (could be just chance). I've only had it a few times, because I have had issues in the past with acidic foods (but seemed to be okay for the time being).

I've decided to take Vit C supplements to see if helps.

Just wanted to know what the correlation is with Vit C and run-down feeling.

During one period, VitC made me feel worse. Small amounts aren't a problem now. Haven't tried large amounts recently.

If acidity is a problem, it's easy to make a buffered vitamin C by mixing sodium bicarbonate and ascorbic acid powders together which is then slightly alkaline.

If sodium is a problem too, you can mix together 2 parts sodium bicarbonate with 1 part potassium bicarbonate then add in the required amount to ascorbic acid powder.

Here's one recipe;
