Researchers talk about chronic inflammation and its connection to disease. But the penny never seems to drop with these researchers, as few ask themselves why there inflammation in the first place. The usual cause of inflammation is infection.

Do you have any resources or material that says that? I didn't know the usual cause of inflammation is infection and was just curious.
