So I looked up on new anti viral therapies. Does anyone have any experience with CFS and statins or alpha interferon?

In this study, A combination of statins with interferon-alpha (IFN-alpha) further increased activity. The authors' Conclusion: A combination of specific HCV inhibitors with statins may result in a more profound antiviral effect and may delay or prevent the development of resistance to such inhibitors.

I dont think I can even get a doctor to prescribe me a statin, are they really risky or something?

I did a year on injectable interferon alpha and oral ribavirin back in 1998 for Hep C. I had been really ill prior to treatment - I thought with a combination of the genetic kidney disorder I have and Hep C (liver functions prior to treatment were very abnormal). It was a hard treatment, and can make you feel very poorly. Interferon Alpha can have a wide variety of unwanted effects on both red and white blood cells, among other things. The Hep C nurse was keen to point out its most serious adverse consequence was suicide, as some people become very depressed on it. After treatment, I had cleared Hep C, and my health returned to the point where I could do a demanding job in the health service for years. However, my ME symptoms started in 2006, and became overpowering in 2009. I have never know if treatment with interferon alpha/ribavirn predisposed me to ME, because of its toll on the body, or actually freed me from it for a few years. More research needed....
