The Irish ME/CFS Association is pleased to announce that we have arranged 4 free screenings during May of a new documentary on ME/CFS, 'Forgotten Plague'. A two-minute trailer is available
.
The talks will take place in the following venues:

An Tain Theatre, Crowe St (just off Roden Place).
The theatre is next to the side entrance of The Court House which faces the Square. There is a taxi rank in front of the building.

Vera Kindlon, Chairperson of the Irish ME/CFS Association and my mum, hosting the Blanchardstown (Dublin 15) free screening of the ME documentary Forgotten Plague yesterday, May 29.

Thanks to some generous donations €247.60 was raised for the Open Medicine Foundation.

Vera has been the chairperson of the Association for nearly 20 years. She ran the first May 12 awareness campaign in Ireland back in 1996 (it was launched at the Mansion House in Dublin) and has, among other things, done over 100 radio interviews about ME over the years. For nearly a decade, she did all the photocopying including for the newsletter along with then stuffing the envelopes. She has reduced her workload in recent years.

Thanks to my sister Deirdre who was the other helper at the screening. Deirdre did a young scientist exhibition project on ME back in 1997 winning the National Rehabilitation Board prize: we used this to get some local publicity. She has kindly helped with other ME activities over the years as have my other siblings (Ali & David)
