When I told my nutritionist that I was taking a d-Mannose supplement after a really bad UTI, he mentioned research on d-Mannose as an inhibitor of certain tumors and an enhancer for some chemotherapy. This research is very early, and the mechanism of d-Mannose's effect in these areas is not well understood. Still, it seems promising.
