Pacing using a fitbit?

Hello there,

I got infected with covid in March. Got an appointment with a ME/CFS specialist in February 2021.
In the meantime, I'm trying to set up a battle plan.

Meds: already taking COQ10, NADH, Acetylcarnitine, Low dose naltrexone

Pacing: trying to rest when I feel the need and not to overdo it. I thought using a fitbit to monitor my HR + measuring the energy spent in the day would be a good idea.

I was wondering if it was possible to create alerts using an fitbit + a specific app?

Do you guys think it's better to use a belt?

I have a garmin vivosmart 4 which I've found really helpful to track my energy levels. It has a heart rate monitor, you can set a heart rate alert but only if you are in exercise mode. It also measures resting heart rate.

However the feature I've found really helpful is that it measures stress levels (by tracking heart rate variability). I've found this really helpful because it's helped me understand which activities my body finds most stressful to perform. I can also see how well I've relaxed when resting. I've found it very accurate, and you can set it to alert you if your stress levels go really high.

It's definitely been useful, just by looking at my stress results for the day I can see if I've done too much, stayed within my limits or if I'm having a PEM crash. And if my stress levels are high its a warning sign that I need to slow down and calm down!
