Oxygen prescription?

Hello,

Anyone know if it's possible to get an oxygen prescription for me/cfs (in the US)? Specifically to use with an ozone system? Doesn't seem like a doctor will prescribe oxygen for this, or any other type of specialist, like pulmonologist?

Thanks

When I purchased an mHBOT chamber a few years ago, I needed an oxygen concentrator to supply the 100% oxygen. And I needed a prescription to get that concentrator. In Oregon, my regular doctor was an Osteopath, and he readily wrote me a prescription.

After I moved to Minnesota and purchased another mHBOT chamber, I got a prescription from my Chiropractor. These two types of doctors are usually pretty amenable to helping out in these kinds of situations.

thanks Wayne, the typical MD here wouldn't do it, of course I got the usual "there is no evidence for ozone helping any condition", even though I feel better on it.

I'm curious, how exactly are you using ozone? And how would you describe feeling better using ozone? I hope to invest in a quality ozone system in the near future. Will you try to set up a 10-pass ozone system for yourself? Sounds like it's a very powerful therapy.

I'm using a rectal insufflation, if I had access to a Hocatt ozone sauna I would use that. I'm not planning to try any IV ozone, I think it'll be too strong for me at the moment, it's risky, I have heard of some people getting worse from it. Neil Nathan said don't use ozone if someone is in a cell danger response situation, so I don't know. My neuro symptoms improve after using it within mins.

If you cannot get a prescription, oxygen concentrators are readily available used, on sites like craigslist or Facebook marketplace. Usually about $50 for one without a lot of bells and whistles

Source: I use them for breathing

My Naturopath doctor of 7 years prescribed mine without hesitation. But yes, you can get oxygen concentrators or home oxygen bars without a prescription because they are not labeled as medical devices.

Funny how naturopaths can do this over here, in Australia naturopaths aren't doctors and can't prescribe anything.

True. My Naturopath has the extra training and certificate and flew on trauma helicopters for ten years prior, so he is able to prescribe the highest level prescription medications. Most naturopaths cannot due to the lack of that extra certification... at least here in New England. I'm not sure if that is a federal thing or state.
