An interesting article, although methodologically flawed since the most underfunded disease categories such as Autism and CFS are left out of the WHO data and thus were not considered in the analysis.

The authors conclude that only DALYs are correlated with research funding and the correlation has decreased over the last decade.
The most disappointing aspect of this article however is that it has only been viewed about 1000 times since January 3. It seems not many are interested in the equity of medical research funding.
