Do any of you know what symptoms can occur when the body produces large amounts of hydrogen peroxide?

Hi, I don't know anything about this, but it might be worth changing the title to something like 'Need advice on hydrogen peroxide' so anyone who is browsing new threads and can help is more likely to spot it.

I'm no expert and neither is Wikipedia but it says

Hydrogen peroxide has important roles as a signalling molecule in the regulation of a wide variety of biological processes.[27] The compound is a major factor implicated in the free-radical theory of aging, based on how readily hydrogen peroxide can decompose into a hydroxyl radical and how superoxide radical byproducts of cellular metabolism can react with ambient water to form hydrogen peroxide.[28] These hydroxyl radicals in turn readily react with and damage vital cellular components, especially those of the mitochondria.[29][30][31] At least one study has also tried to link hydrogen peroxide production to cancer.[32]

Thanks but I want to know if it can really cause all the symptoms I had and in that severity. I think it can in high enough concentration but I would like conformation.

You're straying into redox biology territory here. You probably know that hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a form of ROS that, since the ETC is not perfect, is produced as a routine by-product of energy metabolism.

However, we've only recently begun to appreciate H2O2's function as a signalling messenger molecule. It is known to mediate cysteine residues within proteins. H2O2 appears expertly suited for this role since it is able to cross cell membranes. Further, glutathione has little grip on H2O2, for it reacts too slowly with it. H2O2 can perhaps be described as 'benign' form of ROS, since it has preferred biological targets and does not act indiscriminately towards molecules (like HO might, for instance).

I've found that redox biology is a hard nut to crack. I had a go at the subject when I first began to blog about ME/CFS, and deferred writing about it due to its complexity. If you want to investigate further, these are good articles to get started:

I've found that redox biology is a hard nut to crack

Me too.

Not long ago I found superoxidse is an early immune response.

Lately I found a path that could fit with how my flares end and why the immune modulator I use helps.

Superoxide------------->---------------->------------->hydrogen peroxide and then water and oxigen

I wonder if the intense burning feeling can be caused by high endogenous hydrogen peroxide like the exogenous does.
